Chass Facilities Director
Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean and CFAO, the CHASS Facilities Manager is responsible for managing operations of the CHASS Facilities Management (CFM) department which is responsible for providing space planning, facilities equipment and event management related support services to all CHASS units to assist them with instructional, research, creative, exhibition and performance work. Additionally, CFM facilitates and coordinates CHASS safety and security. The primary services this position oversees include the following: 1.) space planning, 2.) event management 3.) facilities and equipment maintenance, 4.) safety/security and access control coordination, 5.) project coordination and support. CFM provides service to CHASS facilities, including general academic buildings (Humanities, Psychology, Watkins, Sproul, Interdisciplinary, etc.) and approximately 211,000 SF of specialized classrooms, studios, and labs Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program. The full salary range for the Facilities Manager is $103,100 - $196,300 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Strong analytical, research and report preparation skills to meet regulatory and budgetary reporting requirements. Broad knowledge in the areas of facilities management, space planning and allocation, security, fire and safety and emergency preparedness. Strong skills in management, regulatory compliance and operations planning. Strong skills in leadership, motivation of staff and team-building. Strong skills in verbal and written communications. Experience and knowledge to inspect construction in progress (general and specialty structures) and read, sketch and interpret plans and specifications.
