Responsibilities for Surety Underwriting Assistant include but are not limited to: Provide support to agents on the Surety Agency portal and assist with bond/data entry Prepare and process new bonds, riders, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, and reinstatements Communicate with underwriters, agents, clients, and internal teams to resolve inquiries Retrieve, verify, and update information using various workflow, billing, and database systems Perform administrative tasks such as document preparation, electronic filing, forms completion, and assist in general office work Candidates for Surety Underwriting Assistant must meet the following requirements to be considered: Excellent customer service and communication skills (phone + written) High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 13+ years supporting complex transactions, ideally in Surety UA or P&C insurance Strong technological proficiency, especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ability to quickly learn new systems Strong attention to detail, commitment to producing accurate, error-free work, and meeting deadlines Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, multi-tasking, and ability to adapt positively to change Ability to handle clerical/administrative tasks with high accuracy (data entry, forms, filing) Preferred exposure to Adobe and PowerPoint What's in this Surety Underwriting Assistant position for you? Pay: $27.29/hr.
