Reporting to the business development manager, the business development representative (bdr) is a hunter someone who thrives on identifying, sourcing, and creating new opportunities within banks and credit unions. You'll play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by finding qualified prospects and building relationships that turn into long-term partnerships. This is not a "sit and wait for leads" role. It is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, resourceful professional who enjoys prospecting with a passion to help financial institutions discover and meet their needs with plinqit's solutions. source and qualify leads proactively identify and engage key decision makers at banks and credit unions. use a mix of outreach channels; email, social media, phone, events to generate potential deals. qualify prospects by understanding their strategic goals, deposit needs, and digital growth priorities. open doors and create momentum collaborate with the business development manager to design outreach strategies that resonate with financial institutions. introduce the plinqit's platform in a compelling way that highlights its measurable value. identify potential blockers (compliance, it, finance) to streamline the sales cycle. partner with sales and marketing work closely with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and follow-up strategies. share feedback from calls and demos to inform product positioning. attend conferences, webinars, and events to grow your professional network and build brand awareness. manage pipeline and data maintain organized, accurate records of outreach and opportunities in the crm. track key metrics, monitor conversion rates, and share insights that drive pipeline efficiency. consistently move qualified prospects into the next stage of the sales cycle through timely follow-up. you will do this using your 1 to 2 years' experience executing bank and credit union sales in the industry existing network of contacts and professional relationships with financial institutions passion for customer experience and creating solutions that help them meet business objectives ability to consistently exceed goals and sales quotas exceptional relationship management, sales, presentation and negotiation skills experience developing presentations, participating on podcasts and other industry outlets to establish thought leadership ability to work well at home or in the office drive to be a part of an organization recognized as one of the best places to work through kindness and authenticity with your co-workers proficiency in a variety of software platforms, and an ability to learn new systems quickly ability to travel you'll love working here if you communicate directly with honesty and respect are relentless in execution think like an owner it will be the best job you've ever had because your work will directly impact the company's growth you will share products that are making a difference in peoples' lives you will collaborate with amazing people you will be rewarded and recognized for your work by your peers and leaders you will enjoy tremendous career growth opportunities
