We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Facilities Management department in Reston. The Director of Facilities Management will oversee all facets of Engineering, Telecommunications, Security, and Bio-Medical Engineering. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Strategically plan and direct the activities of the facilities management department, focusing on optimizing performance and safety. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, alarm systems, and grounds to ensure maximum service life. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, licensure requirements, and regulatory standards including NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and more. Lead sustainability initiatives and contribute to long-term strategic planning for campus development. Serve as the facility Safety Officer and co-chair the Environment of Care (EOC) committee. Qualifications Education:
A college degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred. Certification:
Certified Health Care Facilities Manager (CHFM) preferred. Professional Memberships:
Membership with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) is preferred and required within the first year of employment. Experience:
A minimum of ten years of experience in hospital building operations and maintenance, with at least five years in a managerial or supervisory role. Why Join Us?
