The DE Underwriter will modify and approve initial stipulations from Underwriting Assistants. File appraisals, analyze data that was ordered by the Underwriting Assistants; modify and approve initial stipulations. Approve loan files to proceed. Essential Job Functions Underwrite FHA, VA, Fannie, Freddie, USDA, 203k mortgage loans Review initial stipulations as assigned by supervisor Review data provided by 4506T and Data Verify to ensure compliance and accuracy Approve outstanding stipulations as they arrive and apply to appropriate files Ensure files are completed in a timely manner Ensure all files, stipulations and documents meet federal and state guidelines as well as FHA and/or conventional guidelines Requirements Must have a valid CHUMS # High school diploma or equivalent Five years of mortgage industry experience Knowledge of federal and state guidelines as they relate to the mortgage industry Strong analytical abilities Possession of strong organizational skills Acute attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office programs Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
