
Salon Account Manager
Overview
The Salon Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with salon accounts. This role focuses on increasing order frequency, expanding brand adoption, and developing smaller accounts into long-term, higher-value partners. The position works closely with outside sales, education, and operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
This position will be hybrid and based in Charlotte, NC.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, relationship driven, and motivated by helping salons grow.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
Manage a portfolio of salons supporting their needs remotely
Proactively reach out to assigned accounts via phone, email, and text
Increase average order size and reorder frequency
Identify opportunities to grow accounts
Educate salons on promotions, new launches, and brand programs
Sales Execution
Place and manage orders accurately and efficiently
Recommend products based on salon needs, services, and retail goals
Track account performance and follow up on dormant or declining accounts
Support seasonal campaigns, incentives, and growth initiatives
Relationship Building
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned salons
Build trust through consistent communication and follow-through
Understand each salon’s business goals and challenges
Partner with outside sales reps to support salons and understand their needs
Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate records and account notes in Netsuite
Track outreach, conversions, and growth metrics
Provide feedback on trends, objections, and client needs
Collaborate with operations to resolve order or inventory issues
Success Metrics
Growth in annual sales across assigned accounts
Increased reorder frequency and average order value
Retention rate of assigned salons
Responsiveness and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
1–3 years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience
Beauty, salon, or professional products industry experience preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple accounts
Confident using CRM systems, email, and basic sales reporting tools
Self-motivated with a growth mindset
