Operations Analyst, Americas Market Access, Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a business unit focused on research, development, and commercialization of treatments for rare and ultra-rare disorders. The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with synergy to our headquarters in Parma.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Pricing, Contracting and Forecasting, the Market Access Operations Analyst will work with Market Access data and access, specifically for Chiesi Global Rare Disease products for the Americas. The main responsibility is building and updating Market Access metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and regularly updating complex data sets (payer mix, competitive market data, etc.).
  • Organizing and cross-checking discounts with Finance and Government pricing.
  • Building and updating policy forecast trackers with financial inputs.
  • Supporting Market Access policy and contracting needs.
  • Conducting pricing analyses and reimbursement tracking.
  • Pulling payer insights by plan and geography.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or advanced degree required.
  • 1-2 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in data analytics type roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of Market Access insights.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, strategic thinking, creativity, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑directed and confident, with the ability to contribute to shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail and responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
  • Proficient in SQL and MS Office, specifically Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of current US payer environment and Market Access dynamics.
  • Additional experience working with analysis or other data reporting tools (such as PowerBI).

Location

Hybrid role based in Boston, MA.

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $130,000. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at‑will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
