Job Description

The Strategic Analytics & Content Optimization team is a critical part of the NBCU Decision Sciences organization that leverages data to support major strategic initiatives and executive presentations across Content, Marketing and more.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Transform data into action by combining first- and third-party data sets to proactively identify and evaluate content trends and opportunities.
  • Deliver macro‑level content intelligence for cross‑company initiatives spanning Linear & Streaming platforms and content genres.
  • Partner with Strategy & Content Strategy teams on sports & entertainment projects.
  • Develop data‑driven frameworks to explore content optimization trade‑offs across Originals and Acquired titles.
  • Lead thought leadership on macro‑level content and audience drivers to maximize Peacock Acquisition, Retention & Engagement.
  • Analyze windowing efficacy and optimize content placement for Linear & Streaming audiences.
  • Initiate advanced analytic techniques with the Content Science team to quantify incremental engagement.
  • Project‑manage and build consensus among stakeholders for content‑related insights initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver analyses that inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to meetings and create compelling presentations with qualitative and quantitative storytelling.
  • Identify growth opportunities on emerging platforms such as FAST, social and short‑form video.
  • Support executive presentation development with data‑driven intelligence.
  • Supervise a team of two content analytics professionals (Sr Manager & Manager).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of content analytics experience, leveraging large data sets to extract actionable insights and drive strategy.
  • 5+ years in querying, analyzing large complex data sets, data visualization and storytelling.
  • 4+ years of managerial experience in analytics.
  • Expertise with SQL, R, Excel, Python, Tableau or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen data essential.
  • Self‑starter with strong attention to detail, work ethic, curiosity, accountability, and project execution.
  • Deep strategic knowledge of the media ecosystem and entertainment industry trends across Linear, Streaming and FAST.
  • Strong business/financial acumen to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and ability to present findings to leadership.
  • Ability to distill and articulate clear stories and insights from diverse data sets.
  • Proficient in communicating complex data graphically to senior executives.
  • Excellent project management skills in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BigQuery / Google technology stack.
  • Knowledge of data science techniques.
  • Extensive experience building data‑informed business cases.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced visual storytelling.
  • Background in Strategy/Business Development, Content Strategy and Finance.
