
About the Role
Chime Labs is Chime’s dedicated innovation engine, responsible for identifying and incubating a portfolio of step-change growth drivers. We do this by combining market intelligence, analytics, and user research to ideate, shape, and test a pipeline of high‑impact initiatives - in close partnership with our executive team.
As Strategy Lead, you will play a critical role in launching category-defining products, unlocking market segments, and expanding into new business lines. You will dig into Chime’s internal data, drive primary research, and leverage AI to distill industry trends and outside perspectives. Through these insights, you will drive ideation, develop strategies and business cases, align with our executive team on prioritization, and partner with a cross-functional team of Product, Marketing, Research, and Analytics to bring these ideas to life.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $138,000 and up to $190,000. Full‑time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities - including new products, audiences, markets, and business models, and clearly articulate why this matters, why now, and how Chime can win.
- Own Chime’s market intelligence function, leveraging AI to synthesize industry and competitive trends programmatically and at scale.
- Drive executive alignment and decisions through strategic narratives and data‑backed materials while accelerating prioritization of top initiatives.
- Incubate ideas by defining and executing on a detailed product strategy, learning agendas, and testing plans, in partnership with the cross‑functional team.
To thrive in this role, you:
- Bring 6+ years of relevant experience, including:
- 3+ years in top‑tier management consulting, including experience as Project/Case Team Leader or Engagement Manager, and
- 3+ years in Product, Strategy, or Growth within consumer banking/FinTech.
- Maintain a pulse on the latest trends in financial services/Fintech with the ability to separate durable signals from hype.
- Think like a visionary, unconstrained by what exists or is possible today.
- Leverage prior hands‑on experience with AI to aggregate and synthesize both internal and external data.
- Can answer complex questions by thinking from first principles, identifying data sources, and executing on analytics that surface key insights.
- Influence senior leaders with compelling data‑backed storytelling and strong executive presence.
- Collaborate productively across functions and teams.
