
Director, AI Engineering & Operations
DaVita Kidney Care – Denver, Colorado
Compensation
$129,000 – $205,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of DaVita's AI strategy, aligning with business objectives.
- Build and manage a high‑performing team of AI, data, and ML engineers.
- Oversee the full AI lifecycle from data integration to model deployment and monitoring.
- Design scalable AI systems and provide technical guidance on model selection and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
- Champion responsible AI, governance, quality standards, and ethical considerations.
- Drive AI adoption, oversee capability development, and integrate AI across the organization.
Qualifications
- Master's in Computer Science, AI, or related field (Bachelor's also acceptable).
- 10+ years in engineering or technology leadership; 5+ years managing technical teams.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), CI/CD, data engineering, and security.
- Experience with GenAI technologies, LLMs, orchestration, agent runtimes, and model integration.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
Technical Skills
- AI/ML frameworks, GCP Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, Google Cloud, Azure, A2A, ADK, MCP, Agentic AI.
- Predictive maintenance, defect detection, process optimization, supply chain analytics.
- Data engineering principles, modern security practices, CI/CD tools.
Language Skills
Fluent in written and verbal communication.
