Director, Product Management
Remote in the United States (EST time zone).
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Role Family: Product Management.
Role Band: M5.
Purpose of the Role
The Director of Product Management will own strategy, vision, and execution for one or more key products within the Sunrise ecosystem — with a focus on add-on modules such as mobile solutions, patient engagement, and analytics. This leader will define product direction, manage roadmaps, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that drive measurable clinical, operational, and financial value for our clients. This role requires someone who brings strong EHR domain knowledge, has a track record of visioning and delivering differentiated products, and can effectively influence across departmental boundaries. The ideal candidate has previously held a senior product role in a healthcare technology company, is comfortable leading through ambiguity, and excels at coaching both product managers and business analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- In combination with the Product team, develop and own the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and roadmap planning to delivery and go-to-market support
- Serve as the voice of the customer — partnering with clinicians, clients, and internal stakeholders to define high-impact problems and validate solutions
- Define and evangelize product vision and priorities that align with overall R&D and business goals
- Lead go-to-market strategy and collaboration with commercial, marketing, and support teams
- Mentor and coach product managers and BAs to elevate team performance, product thinking, and cross-functional influence
- Drive discovery and delivery for modular add-on products within a complex enterprise EHR ecosystem
- Ensure usability, clinical workflow integration, and system interoperability are core to every release
- Stay current on industry trends — especially mobile-first care and patient engagement solutions — to inform product strategy
- Present product strategy and updates to internal leadership, clients, and external stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Work in concert with their assigned development lead, and in collaboration with product team
Required Experience & Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, particularly in matrixed organizations
- Experience with mobile product design, patient engagement strategies, and cloud-based delivery models
- Strong presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder alignment skills
- Prior experience mentoring product managers and/or business analysts
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in healthcare, business, informatics, or technology fields
