Principal - Equities Business Development
Our client, a top-tier global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Equities Execution Product Development professional to join its front-office product team. This is a high-impact role focused on the design, enhancement, and delivery of institutional equities execution capabilities for a global client base. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of trading, technology, and clients, driving the evolution of electronic and high-touch execution solutions across cash equities and related products.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop execution products across electronic and/or high-touch equities trading
- Partner closely with trading desks, quant teams, sales, and technology to translate client and desk requirements into scalable product solutions
- Define product strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation in line with commercial and regulatory objectives
- Drive enhancements across areas such as smart order routing, algos, workflow, analytics, TCA, and market access
- Engage directly with institutional clients to gather feedback and support product adoption
- Coordinate delivery from concept through to implementation, testing, and rollout
- Monitor market structure developments, regulation, and competitive trends to inform product direction
Required Experience
- Proven experience in equities execution, electronic trading, or front-office product management within a sell-side institution
- Strong understanding of cash equities market structure, execution workflows, and trading technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with traders and technologists in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing complex stakeholders and delivering front-office initiatives
- Commercial mindset with a client-centric approach
