What You'll Do

We’re looking for an Assistant Director of Product Management to join our Corporate Treasury team and to shape the future of our enterprise-wide Treasury capabilities. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Corporate Treasury product family, including cash management, payments, and bank account services, and Treasury Management System capabilities. You’ll define product strategy, prioritize technology initiatives, and ensure successful delivery and operational performance of Treasury products across the Principal Enterprise. You’ll build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the enterprise and cultivate a high-performing team by developing, mentoring, and motivating staff to achieve shared goals. You’ll guide the team by prioritizing efforts and turning priorities into team objectives.

  • Lead product strategy and prioritization for Treasury technology, ensuring team focus on work that drives the most value.
  • Owns prioritization decisions in partnership with team, technology, and business leaders.
  • Drive successful outcomes for Treasury initiatives by removing roadblocks, influencing collaborators, and ensuring measurable results.
  • Shape the vision for Treasury products, staying aligned with broader finance and enterprise strategies.
  • Build deep, and trusted relationships with internal partners, gaining a clear understanding of their goals, challenges, and what creates value.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing product team, providing coaching, feedback, talent development, and clear direction.
  • Collaborate across time zones to support a global product toolset and ensure alignment with international partners.
  • Serve as supplier manager for our Treasury Management System, guiding vendor direction by influencing their roadmap and managing spend to achieve the right outcomes.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • CTP certification preferred
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in product management leadership or corporate treasury.
  • Strong knowledge of Kyriba or similar SaaS-based treasury management system
  • Ability to work across global time zones and collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complexity into clarity.
  • Skilled at coaching, developing, or leading product professionals.
  • Motivated by challenge, accountability, and the opportunity to elevate a critical enterprise capability.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This position is located in our corporate office in Des Moines, IA, and offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) in Des Moines, IA.
