
Job Description – Managing Director, Lending

Position Summary
The MD, Lending is an experienced real-estate lending executive who will work passionately to build their book of clients to its highest potential. You are responsible for being a producing executive who originates loans and leads and builds a team that supports your origination business. The expectation is the MD becomes a $100MM to $250MM + annual originations platform for Renovo. As a senior member of the Renovo Lending Team, you will be backed with capital, team support, marketing air cover, and technology, to help maximize the success of your business.
Responsibilities
Business Growth and Client Acquisition
- Build your book of Business (Your Dream 50)
- Farm the network of existing customers for opportunities to grow your circle of success and referral base
- Gain visibility in the real estate investor community through speaking engagements and organizing/leading round-table discussions
Team Leadership and Talent Development
- Lead a team, your POD, to allow for top production and 90+ NPS scores
- Build a team of Junior Lenders (VPs) who manage and grow client relationships and referral partnerships you have built and cultivated
Loan Production and Financial Performance
- Build a business that can produce $100mm+ of profitable and performing loans annually
- Manage credit and the credit process with your support team
Advisory Excellence and Client Strategy
- Become a trusted advisor to your clients and team
- Develop a business plan and circle of success for each client
Portfolio Management and Complex Solutions
- Be an asset and portfolio manager for your book including the ability to perform workouts and complex situations

What We Look For
- 5+ years’ experience in real estate / mortgage lending leading a Sales team
- Strong business sense and Lending industry expertise
- Live in the Region they serve
- Strong leadership qualities
- Proactive and hands-on person with a growth mindset who is eager and able to take on challenges
- Composed/thrives under pressure / problem solving & critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated learning agility/intellectual curiosity; drives own development
- Strong technical skills, familiarity with POS systems – Salesforce a plus
