Summary

We are seeking a visionary and commercially driven Managing Director to lead our operations across Canada and the United States in the Ria Money Transfer segment of Euronet Worldwide (NASDAQ: EEFT). This executive role is responsible for delivering sustainable growth, driving sales performance, and managing a multi-channel distribution strategy across both countries. This includes digital platforms, company-owned retail stores, independent agents, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep industry expertise, and a proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, regulated, and multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Sales Leadership. Develop and execute growth strategies for Canada and the U.S., customized to each market’s regulatory, demographic, and competitive landscape. Drive strong sales and customer acquisition goals across all channels. Identify and grow new business opportunities, partnerships, and remittance corridors across North America. Develop team and growth strategies to increase market share in underdeveloped corridors (long tail). Lead pricing, product positioning, and promotional strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Channel Ownership & Optimization. Oversee and expand digital channels (mobile apps, web platforms) to ensure a smooth, secure, and localized customer experience. Manage and grow the brick-and-mortar network, including company-operated retail stores and independent agents in both countries. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, telecoms, and retail chains to boost reach and service offerings. Set channel-specific KPIs and performance metrics to promote accountability and ongoing improvement.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance. Collaborate with Compliance Officers to ensure full adherence to Canadian and U.S. financial regulations, including AML/CTF, FINTRAC, OFAC, and data privacy laws. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to sustain profitability and control costs.
  • Leadership & Culture. Build, lead, and motivate high-performing cross-functional teams across Canada and the U.S. Encourage a culture of innovation, automation, accountability, care, and customer focus.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in financial services, with a strong background in remittances, payments, or fintech.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and managing multi-channel operations across multiple markets.
  • Deep understanding of digital financial services, agent networks, retail operations, and partnership development.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
