Job Title: Director of Tax
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Compensation: $180,000 - $230,000 / Annually + 25%-30% target bonus plus equity

Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian income tax filings.
- Ensure accurate and timely quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with GAAP (ASC 740).
- Manage indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, property tax, GST, and other transactional taxes.
- Develop and execute corporate tax strategies aligned with business objectives while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimize the effective tax rate within appropriate risk parameters.
- Assess tax implications of acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructurings, and new business initiatives.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and evaluate organizational impact.
- Lead tax audits and examinations, partnering with external auditors and advisors as needed.
- Maintain strong documentation, transfer pricing support, and internal controls to ensure audit readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop tax team members, promoting technical excellence and continuous growth.
- Advise senior finance leadership on tax strategy, risk, and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
- CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including leadership experience within a large, multi-state or multinational organization and/or public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of US federal, state and Canadian income tax, ASC 740 tax provision requirements, and indirect tax considerations
