This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity in New York City for a seasoned structured credit investor who enjoys execution-focused investing and building scalable investment platforms.They are currently building out their private credit capabilities across four strategic phases:1. Execution & Deployment2. Origination & Relationship Building3. Transition to the client investment model4. Scaling with institutional third-party capitalThe broader objective is to deploy $8B into the ABF space, representing a meaningful platform build supported by strong balance sheet capital and long-term investment commitment.This role is execution-focused, centered on structuring, underwriting, and managing sophisticated asset-backed finance investments supporting long-duration capital strategies.What You’ll Do:* Lead due diligence and underwriting of private structured credit opportunities* Structure and evaluate asset-backed and specialty finance transactions* Build and analyze complex cash flow models and perform relative value analysis* Review and negotiate legal documentation and transaction structures* Present investment recommendations to committees* Support portfolio monitoring, risk management, and regulatory alignment* Partner closely with legal, risk, actuarial, and capital management teamsIdeal Background:* 8+ years of experience in structured credit, asset-backed finance, or private credit investing* Strong execution and structuring experience within insurance or long-duration capital environments* Advanced financial modeling and structured finance analytics expertise* Strong understanding of ratings, regulatory capital, and balance sheet optimizationIf you are a technically strong structured credit professional looking to help build and scale a meaningful private credit platform, this could be an exciting opportunity.For more information, please apply or reach out to directly.
