Job Summary

The Executive Director Finance Acclaim provides financial direction for all divisions, including financial operational management, strategic growth, strategic development, financial projections, capital planning, and cash flow/incentive distributions. As a member of the senior management team the Executive Director of Finance, Acclaim is accountable for all financial outcomes of the enterprise – both revenues and expenses.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

  • Oversees the daily operations and development of Acclaim Physician Group Finance staff, ensuring their growth and development in line with organizational objectives, while promoting a high level of motivation and performance.
  • Responsible for the leadership of Acclaim Physician Group Finance Committee.
  • Serves as a resource and subject matter expert to the organization and partners with Network leadership to accomplish system-wide goals. Works to ensure all applicable standards are met.
  • Implements and leads business development processes by working collaboratively with data analytics and operations teams to strategize, review, and finalize proposals.
  • Conducts financial reviews and analysis to optimize Acclaim’s current business performance and evaluate new revenue opportunities, leveraging insights from operations, market trends, commercial programs, financial reporting, and statistical analysis to assess financial risk and return.
  • Understands system policies and procedures in addition to government regulations as appropriate and ensures that the physician organization is fully in compliance. Develops and administers policies and procedures appropriate for the financial operations of the physician organization.
  • Partners with the CFO on the development and implementation of long and short-range operations plans, which may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses, and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions and business plan preparations.
  • Develops and is accountable for annual objectives and budgets representing a significant portion of the Acclaim organization’s total operations and expenditures.
  • Monitors, interprets, and analyzes individual physicians as well as physician organization financial performance in realizing established plans and objectives of the Acclaim Physician Group and the JPS Health Network. Identifies and reports undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and makes recommendations for action.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and ensures that reports reliably reflect the financial position of the physician organization. Oversees month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Responsible for representing Acclaim Physician Group in monthly close call discussion.
  • Leads physician incentive processes including design development, projections, monitoring, calculations, and distribution as well as approval by governing bodies.
  • Ensures collaboration with internal audit to validate various physician incentive distributions.
  • Acts as a liaison for external financial agents including actuarial consultants, auditors, and payers.
  • Adheres to all Acclaim Physician Group policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 8 years of experience in healthcare financial operations, accounting with physician group practice, working with an integrated delivery system, and leading strategic planning initiatives. To include 3 years of experience in financial leadership with a demonstrated, successful record of accomplishment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare financial operations, accounting with physician group practice, working with an integrated delivery system, and leading strategic planning initiatives. To include 3 years of experience in financial leadership with a demonstrated, successful record of accomplishment.
