We are seeking a senior executive to unify and lead our world-class Web Development and Creative functions.
The Opportunity: A Unified Creative & Technical Vision
This is a high-impact executive role reporting directly to the COO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team. The EVP will consolidate and lead our Web Development, Creative, and CRO departments into a single, high-performing organization that blends innovation, design excellence, and scalable technical delivery.
You will be the visionary setting the direction for how world-class creative and robust, innovative web development come together to accelerate client success. This role is not just about management; it’s about integration, inspiration, and driving measurable business outcomes. You will be responsible for the P&L, operational excellence, and the growth and development of a large, multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Leadership & P&L Management:
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for a consolidated department of 150+ professionals across web development, creative design, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Own and manage the department P&L, partnering closely with Finance, HR, and Operations to drive forecasting accuracy, resource optimization, and overall profitability against financial targets.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth by partnering closely with Earned Media, Paid Media, and SaaS teams to maximize client value through integrated strategies, cross-channel collaboration, and full use of Ignite’s digital solutions and platforms.
- Serve as a key business partner to the executive team, contributing to company-wide strategy, new business pitches, and long-term growth planning.
- Team Development & Operational Excellence:
- Mentor, coach, and develop a large team of directors, managers, and individual contributors, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Operationalize the integrated team, establishing clear processes, workflows, and communication channels between creative and technical disciplines to maximize efficiency and output quality.
- Ensure exceptional client outcomes across enterprise and SMB accounts through delivery excellence and data-driven performance management.
- Lead the integration of previously separate teams and cultures into a unified organization with shared goals, systems, and workflows.
- Foster an inclusive, transparent culture that empowers creativity, celebrates innovation, and aligns technical execution with client impact.
- Define and track success metrics across quality, timeliness, client satisfaction, and profitability to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- Client & Business Engagement:
- Act as a senior point of contact for key client engagements, comfortably engaging with C-level executives (CMOs, CTOs) to build trust and align on strategic vision.
- Partner with the Sales and Client Services departments to scope new projects, contribute to proposals, and identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts.
- Represent the unified department’s capabilities in strategic client and new business presentations, articulating how creative and technical excellence drive measurable outcomes.
- Technical & Creative Vision:
- Maintain a hands-on understanding of modern web design, development technologies, and creative trends to guide the team’s technical and artistic direction.
- Ensure all deliverables—from enterprise-level web platforms to high-converting creative assets—are innovative, scalable, and of the highest quality.
- Partner with the AI and Automation teams to pilot new tools, frameworks, and processes that enhance creative velocity and web delivery efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within a creative and/or web development agency environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling large (150+), multi-disciplinary teams of developers, designers, and CRO specialists.
- Demonstrated experience managing a significant P&L, with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Strong history of engaging with C-level clients and internal stakeholders as a trusted strategic partner.
- A visionary yet hands-on background in web design and development, with the ability to guide technical and creative excellence.
- Exceptional people leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor senior leaders, resolve complex challenges, and inspire large teams.
- Strong understanding of how automation, AI, and data-driven decisioning intersect with creative and development processes.
- Experience leading through acquisition or integration of multi-entity teams preferred.
