Description We are seeking an experienced EDA Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing activities for Electronic Design Automation tools and services. This role based in Austin supports global engineering teams through strategic vendor management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
Lead procurement for EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA).
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and compliance.
Collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies.
Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support RFx processes and vendor evaluations.
Track license usage and ensure alignment with business needs.
Maintain procurement documentation and ensure audit readiness.
Required Experience And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
15 years of experience in procurement, preferably in semiconductor or EDA domains.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Familiarity with EDA licensing models and vendor ecosystems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with global sourcing and remote collaboration.
Knowledge of procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba).
Understanding of IP licensing and software compliance.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $143,000 - $286,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
