Job Description Serves as SME in planning and organizing development efforts, conducting studies, providing technical advice and reviewing design requirements for compliance and project objectives at Picatinny, New Jersey. Oversees and organizes efforts for complex studies and analysis to develop new/novel products and theories pertaining to ammunition design, development and fielding with current and future weapon systems.
Responsible for the optimizing ammunition performance characteristics with respect to weapon system, platform and operational use parameters using extensive and relevant experience.
Provide technical advice regarding project feasibility, definitions of project scope, complexities/risk involved, phases required, and time schedules.
Review drawings, specifications and design requirements for technical content, accuracy and compliance with project/program objectives.
Focused on the creation of new detailed designs of components and assemblies that can meet requirements for a variety of medium and cannon caliber munition guided systems.
Education: Master’s degree in engineering, Science, or related field
Benefits
Pay: $170k - $220k
Schedule: M-F, 8-hrs/days

Job Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
20+ years’ experience in RDT&E projects and studies related to military systems and technology
Identifies technology transfer opportunities from Research and Development to production
Participates in strategic planning for area of responsibility and implements assigned strategic objectives by mentoring and management of various product and/or service teams engaged in RDT&E.
Provide professional technical and engineering knowledge, with an extensive background in a variety of system disciplines, such as design, systems engineering, product assurance, propulsion, track and suspension, simulation, software, electronics, survivability, prototyping, vehicle configuration, etc.
Provide engineers with assistance on analysis and action items on DEVCOM-AC program reviews, program gate reviews, or other special reviews to ensure adherence to project cost, schedule, performance, and risk mitigations.
Bonus points if you have:
Program Management Certification.
Experience in providing expertise DEVCOM AC Headquarters and its subordinate elements.
Proficiency in data visualization software, e.g., Tableau, used for reporting and presentation of findings.
