Deputy Director of Maintenance Plans & Projects - Marietta
The Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO), a division of the Georgia Army National Guard, is vested with responsibility for maintaining all Army National Guard facilities throughout the state. The CFMO Atlanta location serves as “headquarters” for a 35+ member staff, which includes a combination of federal and state, military and civilian, full-time and part-time personnel. This position, the Deputy Director of Maintenance - Plans and Projects, serves as branch chief of the Facilities Maintenance Program to include regional maintenance engineers, maintenance, personnel and logistical operations.
Typical responsibilities include:
Maintains BUILDER or comparable asset management system;
Oversees Regional Maintenance Project Managers at geographically dispersed locations and all projects that are under 100K;
Oversees all projects over 100K; serves as project manager for major projects as determined by the director;
Establishes and maintains consistent and timely communication with the Deputy Director over operations to identify potential projects; Oversees and manages time sheets and personnel actions;
Maintains all project budgets;
Maintains all project trackers and spreadsheets;
Serves as the liaison between CFMO Engineering and CFMO Maintenance;
Provides oversight of the Preventive Maintenance program;
Travels in support of the facilities management process.
Obtains and maintains appropriate training and certifications for staying abreast of changing requirements from the National Guard Bureau (NGB).
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those qualified applicants who possess a combination of any of the following:
Experience supervising maintenance personnel;
Working knowledge of various programs utilized by the Georgia Army National Guard such as PRIDEWEB.
Ability to write and review scopes of work for maintenance projects.
Knowledge of basic operations of HVAC, boiler, plumbing, chiller and electrical systems.
The selected applicant must meet the following standards:
Possess a valid drivers' license;
Pass a pre-employment drug-test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program;
Pass a pre-employment background check, which includes a Georgia criminal history, as well as a post-hire federal background investigation in order to gain and maintain access to military facilities and computer networks/programs;
Eligible to work in the U.S.;
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
