Equitable is looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Vice President Annuities (External Wholesaler) to join our Individual Retirement team! This role is responsible for driving growth of Annuity sales through the existing Regional Agency Channel in the assigned regions of New Jersey and New York. This role will be based in the territory, working remotely from your home office with up to 95% travel for business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing Responsibilities
Develop and manage consultative relationships with existing Regional Agency Channel advisors.
Assess and identify the needs of advisor clients in order to promote new products.
Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share in excess of 10%.
Educate and train advisors on Annuity products.
Champion headquarters marketing campaigns at the local client level.
Develop new relationships and manage territory.
Utilize internal sales desk for enhanced customer service.
Follow up on Internal Sales Desk leads.
Maintain sales goals and identify, create, and implement annuity sales opportunities.
Communicate with Divisional Vice Presidents on an ongoing basis.
This position offers a remote work arrangement plus up to 95% travel for business needs. Periodic office visits may be requested based on business needs.
The base salary for this position is $60,000, and the role is eligible for variable compensation.

Qualifications
FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 registrations.
Resident State Life, Health and Variable Annuities Insurance license.
Thorough knowledge of Variable Annuities and Mutual Funds.
2+ years Direct Sales or Wholesaling experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling annuities in New Jersey and/or New York markets.
CLU, ChFC, and/or CFP.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized.
Technically savvy with computer and MS Office products.
Willingness to travel 95%.

Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).
