Tax Preparer Position
We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Clinton, New Jersey. In this role, you will handle a variety of tax-related tasks, including individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns, as well as estate accounting. This position requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a detail-oriented environment. Responsibilities: Prepare individual tax returns, including those involving Schedule C. Handle business tax returns for partnerships with accuracy and efficiency. Manage fiduciary tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Perform estate accounting tasks, maintaining precision and organization. Review completed tax returns to ensure accuracy and adherence to tax laws. Utilize Lacerte tax software to process and manage tax-related tasks effectively. Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax issues and provide solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry standards. Organize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines consistently. Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address concerns. Requirements: Proven experience in tax preparation and review. Proficiency in Lacerte tax software, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations. Demonstrated technical proficiency in tax-related tasks. Effective communication skills for client interaction and information gathering.
