Leasing Consultant The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of a property.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Property leasing and administration
Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
Effectively show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease.
Close sales by making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, maintaining model units, and following up as needed.
Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in
Assist with lease audits, walking units, and turnover processes
Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, responding to prospect leads within 24 hours
Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and exceed leasing goals
Perform various administrative tasks as needed
Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure satisfaction
Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs (e.g., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletter)
Contribute to the upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas, and model units
Assist in implementing annual marketing plan outreach
Review and assist in completing market surveys/analysis to generate ideas and formulate plans
Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; complete weekly market survey reports
Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
Enforce community policies as delegated by the immediate supervisor
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to understand and perform all on‑site software functions; basic computer skills required
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
Physical Requirements
The employee is required to move about to accomplish tasks, communicate with others, and repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Frequently required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and similar; often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Occasionally required to work in tight or confined spaces; reach overhead; move objects up to 25 lbs.; operate machinery, power tools, vehicles, or golf carts; work overtime, weekends, night hours, in extreme temperatures, and in outdoor environments; exposure to hazardous chemicals; traverse varied terrain
Compensation & Benefits At Asset Living, a variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including skill set, background and training, certifications, etc. The offer is dependent on the facts associated with each candidate’s experience. The comprehensive total rewards package includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses when applicable. Full‑time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.
Salary Range : $16 per hour to $20 per hour
