
Job Description
Plans, directs, organizes, and carries out growth strategies in Commercial Real Estate segment. Responsible for all facets of commercial banking including advice, lending, treasury services, financial services, and mortgage. Responsible for portfolio soundness, profitability and growth and the development of sales strategies and tactics to best serve clients in commercial and investor residential real estate segment. Active in visible industry trade groups or community organizations to elevate the bank’s brand and be the face of Freedom Bank in real estate industry. Recommends operational processes and reports industry or market trends. Leads the development of strategy for commercial real estate segment in partnership with the CEO. Also responsible for retention and expansion of existing client relationships, growth of total client assets, and net growth in relationships.
Responsibilities
Takes the lead in planning business goals for the bank in Commercial Real Estate, particularly those relating to lending, treasury services and other revenue generating products
Prepares a business plan and operating budget annually and monitors actual versus planned results
Formulates and implements lending and treasury services products and procedures within commercial in investor residential real estate segment Serves as senior client manager on key relationships and transactions for clients to ensure successful completion and management of bank risk and return
Actively participates and fosters strong ties to appropriate industry trade organizations or high profile community groups to build the bank’s brand and cultivate business development leads
Oversees the leadership and manages activities of all Commercial Real Estate personnel
Is a member of senior management team and participates, as required, in board meetings, loan committees and corporate planning activities
Makes recommendations regarding new and existing lending and treasury services products and pricing tactics
Maintains accountability for loan risk ratings, delinquency and loan loss ratios within the objectives of the strategic plan
Facilitates the training, career counseling/development, and coaching of all staff in Commercial Real Estate segment
Acquires and maintains the necessary working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance when selling Bank services and products.
Requirements
Must have a four-year degree in Business, Finance or a related field of study. Master’s Degree is preferred
Must have 5 -7 years in a senior management position with experience in financial lending and expertise in all aspects of consumer, commercial and mortgage lending and member servicing
Must have a strong record of client development and industry or market leadership experience
Excellent analytical skills
Strong supervisory, team management, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
