Superintendent Position at Ticonderoga Golf Course Ticonderoga Golf Course (TGC) is a top class 18-hole public golf course located in the Lord Howe Valley at the northern tip of Lake George near the Vermont border in historic Ticonderoga, NY. The course has been operating for over 100 years, has been significantly improved over the past 7 years and features 16 new greens (mostly newer California greens with 007 bent grass), tee boxes, fairways and Toro irrigation system. Equipment investment continues with 2 new John Deere 2550 greens mowers in 2025. Additionally, the club house, Seymour’s Restaurant, Tap Room and Patio are new and enhance the TGC experience. TGC has seen a significant increase in play making this an exciting time to join our team.
Experience Requirements
Class A or Class B Superintendent (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of golf course maintenance leadership experience
Strong understanding of northern/seasonal turf management
Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Employment Structure
Year‑round position with seasonal intensity
Peak operational season typically April–October
Off‑season responsibilities include planning, budgeting, equipment maintenance, and capital project preparation
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience (target range $80,000–$90,000)
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Performance‑based, tied to course conditions, budget performance, and overall execution
