The pay range for this position is $77,000.00 – $116,000.00.

Key Accountabilities

Conduct research and analysis of renewable energy, fuels, and carbon market data and trends.

Design, build, and maintain financial, trading, and supply‑demand models for various markets; create forecasts to identify trading opportunities and support investment decisions.

Collaborate with other teams to identify possible market scenarios and integrate these as sensitivity analyses into various market forecasts.

Work with Operations, Settlements, and Risk teams to maintain and improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools.

Present analysis and market insights to portfolio managers, management, and risk teams; formats include written, verbal, and PowerPoint.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

At least two years of professional experience in renewable fuels, renewable energy, and/or carbon markets.

Demonstrable proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.

Other Qualifications

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.

Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, VBA, or other statistical languages.

Thorough understanding of North American carbon markets, including supply and demand, logistics, regulations, and operations.

Ability to operate in a fast‑paced dynamic commodity market environment with time‑sensitive deadlines.

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; work effectively with people at all levels; handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with high accuracy.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Occasionally stand or walk and stoop or kneel; frequently sit.

Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use wrists, hands, and fingers in repetitive motion; reach with hands and arms extensively.

Occasionally lift objects up to 10 pounds.

Use computers with exposure to video display terminals; repetitive motion associated with data entry, mouse use, and office equipment.

Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Primary work is performed in a work‑from‑home capacity and periodically from a climate‑controlled office environment. On occasion, travel to project sites may be required, where noise levels and environmental conditions can vary.
