
Oncology Sales Specialist - Long Island, NY
Role Snapshot
Overlay oncology diagnostic sales role supporting all oncology customers/opportunities across the territory. You’ll partner closely with Territory Business Managers and the Regional Director to identify and close new business, target new oncology groups, and expand/upsell within existing accounts—especially around new products. You’ll align on solutions with TBMs, negotiate, and close, while coordinating with Key Account Managers and Client Success Specialists to increase account value on top tier accounts.
Call Points Hematologist/oncologists, medical/academic/surgical/gynecologic oncologists—across oncology groups, hospital oncology groups, academic centers, pathology labs, interventional radiology suites, and surgery centers.
Core Responsibilities
Achieve annual sales/profit goals through efficient territory management and customer satisfaction.
Lead consultative sales and promotion of molecular oncology products in territory.
Provide frequent market feedback (products, competition, conditions) to the RD; maintain territory-specific intel on competitors/distributors.
Generate ideas that drive territory, regional, and company growth and profitability.
Candidate Profile
Bachelors in Life Sciences or business (MBA preferred).
5+ years of consistent success in oncology sales (diagnostics or pharma; product and/or service).
Extensive knowledge of the clinical/lab market; can rapidly learn/retain product detail and translate features→benefits for customers.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 75% with some overnights.
