Role Description
The Links at Firestone Farms, located in Columbiana, OH, is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This role is responsible for aiding in the day-to-day management of the golf course, including but not limited to course setup, irrigation management, chemical and fertilizer applications, equipment maintenance, crew management, and project management. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the maintenance and conditioning of the golf course to the highest standards.
Qualifications Preferred but not required
A degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or a related field is
Minimum of 3 years of golf course maintenance experience
Ohio Pesticide Applicator's License
Knowledge of irrigation systems and repairs
Thorough knowledge of chemical and fertilizer applications
Ability to operate and maintain equipment associated with the golf course industry
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
High attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
