Marketing Specialist, Client Engagement | Global Law Firm | SF, CA
We are hiring an experienced law firm Marketing Specialist in our SF office. The Specialist is a key member of the Marketing Department, responsible for elevating the firm’s profile, supporting business development, and creating opportunities for lawyers to connect with clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, plan, lead, and execute firm-sponsored programs for current and prospective clients
Serve as marketing lead for events and sponsorships
Create event plans and manage critical dates and timelines
Draft and manage internal and external communications related to programs, coordinating with Digital Marketing team on website and social media postings
Collaborate with Client Engagement team members and practice/industry BD and Marketing liaisons on event logistics, including invitations, strategic development of guest lists, speaker invitations and prep, handout materials, nametags, site management, visual presentations, and follow-up
Support office/region client entertainment activities, including management of ticket assets and allocation system
Coordinate production and distribution of legal updates sent to clients, format documents for print, web, and email; obtain approvals from lawyers and colleagues; post to website and other databases; create post‑distribution readership reports
Help prepare and manage the office marketing budget; track and analyze initiatives, evaluate ROI, recommend and plan future efforts
Maintain and engage with firm’s CRM system, leveraging it to connect lawyers, clients, and other contacts
Identify, track, and secure relevant speaking and other credentialing opportunities for lawyers; create supporting materials
Assist in onboarding and integration of new lawyers and lateral partners
Assist in development and execution of lawyer workshops on professional biography and LinkedIn profile creation
Work on special projects as requested by Senior Marketing Manager and office leadership
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Minimum of five (5) years of professional marketing, business development, or related experience
Minimum of two (2) years of experience planning and leading events in a professional services environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Preferred
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing
Advanced knowledge of marketing databases and technologies (e.g., Vuture, Salesforce, InterAction)
Solid understanding of the competitive landscape in the local/regional market
