Position Overview: IT Director The IT Director will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all technology systems and infrastructure within Spectrum Medical Care Center. This role ensures secure, efficient, and compliant IT operations that support clinical workflows, patient care, and organizational growth. The IT Director will oversee cybersecurity, EHR systems, data integrity, and technology innovation while aligning with healthcare regulations and the clinic’s mission of inclusivity and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals and healthcare compliance standards.

Identify emerging technologies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Oversee implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Ensure interoperability between clinical, billing, and reporting systems.

Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard patient data.

Implement robust cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular risk assessments.

Manage network infrastructure, servers, and cloud-based solutions.

Lead IT support team to provide timely assistance to staff and resolve technical issues.

Negotiate contracts with technology vendors and manage IT budgets effectively.

Evaluate and select hardware/software solutions that meet clinic needs.

Provide staff training on IT systems, security best practices, and new technologies.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination or relevant certifications, education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience working in LGBTQ+ healthcare or community-based organizations.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Experience

Minimum 4 years in IT leadership roles, preferably in healthcare settings.

Experience with EHR systems, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare IT standards.

Strong background in cybersecurity and data privacy.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Driver’s License or other form of Real ID

Must be able to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card during background check process. (Required)

Strategic thinker with excellent problem‑solving skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence, especially in serving LGBTQ+ and diverse communities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation / Benefits / Total Rewards

Salary Range $90,000-$110,000

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, eligible on the first day of the month following your start date.

Company‑Paid Life Insurance Policy of $50,000.

Company Paid Parental Leave

Additional optional benefits such as: Voluntary Life/AD&D, Accident, Cancer Protection, Hospital, and Short‑Term Disability Insurance.

403(b) Plan with a 3% company match, eligible after first pay period.

Paid Time Off

120 hours of Vacation time, 4.62 hours accrued bi‑weekly starting date of hire. Available to use after the first day of employment.

1 week, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave accrued bi‑weekly starting date of hire. Available to use after the first day of employment.

9 annual paid holidays.

You are also entitled to carry over 80 hours of PTO into the following calendar year.
