
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Program Director provides enterprise leadership for vendor led healthcare initiatives, ensuring programs are structured, governed, and positioned to deliver measurable value. This role serves as the central point of accountability for aligning Health Plans, corporate partners, and vendors around shared objectives, decision making, and outcomes. This role focuses on creating clarity and consistency across programs so that activity can be effectively understood, assessed, and translated into actionable insight.
Leads vendor driven healthcare programs from planning through execution and outcome reporting, establishing clear program governance, cadence, and executive level reporting. Partners closely with Health Plans to drive engagement, adoption, and consistent execution, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors to identify and track utilization data for outcome and ROI reporting. Manages vendor scope, performance, and deliverables against contractual and program expectations, monitors SLAs, risks, and dependencies across the program portfolio, and communicates program status, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership. Ensures alignment with enterprise standards, including PMO and IT governance.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong program and vendor management experience in healthcare environments
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence Health Plans and cross functional stakeholders
Excellent written, verbal, and executive level communication skills
Strong data acumen, including the ability to evaluate utilization and outcome data and convert it into meaningful insights for decision making
Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in ambiguous environments
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience 7-9 years
Preferred Education Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience 10+ years of program or portfolio management experience in healthcare
3-5+ years of vendor management experience in healthcare
Preferred License, Certification, Association CPHQ, PMP
