
Grocery sales rep acts as retailers' beer category consultant, sells-in and executes retail merchandising and marketing elements, manages account inventory, and builds and maintains strong business relationships with retail customers.
Responsibilities Beer Category Consultant
Analyzes retailers’ beer category (sales trends, cooler space allocation, display execution, pricing, POS execution, etc.), provides retailers strategies to grow beer category sales, and sells-in to retailers merchandising and marketing elements that increase Wasatch Distributing Co.’s share of sales.
Conducts a business review with retailers once per quarter, more frequently if needed.

are met and that company share and quality of retail execution elements outperform competition:

Manage Account Inventory
Using A-B Mobility software, record account inventory and generate an effective order, balancing risk of out-of-stock and excess inventory, each sales call day, or as needed.
Check-in and place into reserve inventory (back-stock) product ordered for and received by accounts. This requires Merchandisers to down-stack product from pallets. This essential job functions require repetitive physical exertion, i.e., physically transporting beer packages that weigh up to 160 lbs., with and without the use of a hand-truck, on varied terrain (e.g., up and down stairs), in confined spaces, and in adverse weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, and extreme heat).
Ensures daily that coolers and displays are replenished and properly rotated.
Establish and maintain neat and orderly reserve inventory (back-stock).
Manage product freshness, in accordance with company’s
Product Rotation
and
Freshness Policies .
Execute all inventory-related elements contained in company’s
Sales Process .
