Primary Responsibilities The Growth Solutions Manager is responsible for being a subject matter expert in market dynamics affecting market dynamics affecting the industry. By leveraging analytics and marketplace knowledge, this role is responsible for helping KeHE customers increase sales and trade area relevance through assortment and merchandising. Essential Functions DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and lead growth strategies aligned with business objectives across new and existing categories, both divisionally and nationally, specifically centered around Multicultural and Micro Market initiatives.
Identify and analyze key category and consumer trends—such as product attributes, retail channel dynamics, shopper behavior, and purchase patterns—to inform and evolve customer strategies and support aggressive growth targets.
Challenge our current customer's assortment and merchandising practices by accessing category sales data to support syndicated analysis and developing ad hoc demographic reports to support clustering analysis.
Create ROI-focused reporting by evaluating implementation rates, product success metrics, and retail sales performance that will generate selling stories at the national and divisional level.
Integrate consumer, demographic, syndicated, and internal data to create optimum, innovative, and actionable assortment and merchandising solutions specific to category and market.
Deliver customized, best-in-class merchandising recommendations that address customer-specific opportunities and challenges.
Prepare and deliver high-quality, data-driven PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate insights and growth strategies to decision-makers.
Present complex analytics and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner to key stakeholders, including category and merchandising teams.
Work cross-functionally with Category Management and Account Management to ensure optimal recommendations for the customer.
Support training and development of team members while leading direct reports to maximize data that influences key category decision makers.
Develop relationships across key stakeholders at HQ/divisions for Multicultural and Micro Market initiatives.
Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
Other duties and special projects as requested.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, and the evolving retail landscape—including multicultural categories.
Proven ability to lead multiple high-impact projects simultaneously while managing tight and conflicting deadlines.
Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced business environment.
Familiarity with natural, specialty, and/or fresh product categories, including the ability to identify emerging brands and trends.
Project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated thought leadership, strategic thinking, and creativity in developing customer solutions.
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with a high level of comfort presenting to senior-level stakeholders.
Proficiency with MS Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with Circana, Spins, Panel Data & Demographic software, Mintel.
Willingness to travel as needed for existing KeHE retail customer presentations (15-30%).
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
4-year Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study.
Minimum of three years prior experience in grocery industry analytics (retailer, supplier, distributor or data provider) with assortment analysis experience.
Experience in supermarket or natural food store merchandising.
Experience with query writing and/or IBM Cognos Connection a plus.
