The Opportunity Oversee integrated cyber defense operations and manage the daily activities of a dynamic Security Operations Center (SOC) as a leader within the Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) team. Lead SOC teams to deliver timely and effective threat detection, investigation, and response, while driving measurable operational improvements. Execute SOC operations with a commitment to operational rigor, achieving key KPIs, and leveraging advanced automation, orchestration, and AI‑driven platforms to enhance SOC maturity and readiness. Lead attack surface management, vulnerability management, data loss prevention (DLP), and fusion center management. Foster collaboration with IT, risk, legal, and business units to align scalable SOC processes with organizational priorities, benchmark success through robust performance metrics such as attack surface reduction and SLA adherence, and continuously optimize response plans. Invest in team readiness by developing talent, conducting drills, and implementing innovative solutions such as SOAR capabilities and AI enablement to strengthen cyber defenses. Set strategic direction, enhance operational efficiency, and drive cutting‑edge advancements in cybersecurity. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
You Have
5+ years of experience leading SOC teams in large enterprises and delivering measurable operational improvements
Experience integrating advanced tools for vulnerability management, DLP, and AI / ML applications in cybersecurity workflows
Ability to collaborate with both technical and business‑focused stakeholders
Ability to lead in high‑tempo environments with a results‑oriented mindset
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response, or 10+ years of experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have
7+ years of experience leading sophisticated cyber operations
Experience advancing SOC operations in cloud and hybrid environments
Knowledge of offensive and defensive technical capabilities for cyber operations
CISSP or related Cybersecurity Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
