Save Job

Role Summary This role captures and edits story-driven video content that performs across Meta (IG/FB), TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. You'll shoot on-location (primarily Central Arkansas) and in controlled settings, then edit with a platform-native mindset. Whether the format is an interview, appeal video, educational clip, testimonial, or trend-driven UGC, the goal stays the same:

tell a clear story that holds attention and creates emotion and engagement.

How This Role Fits Into the Organization You are part of the creative/production function and collaborate closely with account, strategy, and content teams to deliver consistent, on-brand video output. You will often be the person closest to the "real moments" with clients and subjects-capturing authentic footage, shaping it into narratives, and turning raw shoots into repeatable templates and weekly deliverables that support campaign goals.

Typical collaborators include: Creative Director/Producer, Content Manager, Account Manager, Strategist, and Design/Social teams.

Core Responsibilities Pre-Production & Planning

Translate briefs into shoot plans: shot lists, simple scripts, interview questions, b-roll needs, and locations.

Recommend formats based on platform best practices (hooks, pacing, aspect ratio, captions, length).

Coordinate logistics for weekly shoots (scheduling, locations, releases, checklists).

Production (On-Location + In-Studio)

Capture high-quality video and audio for: interviews, testimonials, UGC-style content, educational clips, appeal/fundraising stories, and brand footage.

Direct subjects with confidence and ease-helping non-actors feel natural on camera.

Film strong b-roll that supports narrative and adds visual interest (process, environment, details, people).

Maintain consistent technical quality: framing, lighting, stabilization, clean audio.

Post-Production & Editing

Edit weekly deliverables for multiple platforms (vertical-first where applicable).

Build and maintain repeatable

templates

for fast turnaround (intros/outros, captions, lower thirds, branded frames).

Clean and mix audio (noise reduction, leveling, clarity) and ensure captions are accurate and readable.

Deliver organized exports and project files with naming/version control.

Platform & Trend Execution (UGC Focus)

Stay current on trending formats, pacing, audio, and creative patterns-then adapt them appropriately for brand/client use.

Produce interview-style short-form, talking-head, b-roll overlays, cutdowns, and series-based content.

Understand each platform's creative "rules" (hook timing, text placement, safe zones, retention patterns).

Workflow, Organization, and Asset Management

Manage footage ingest, backups, and organized libraries (drives/folders, selects, deliverables).

Communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, and what's needed from stakeholders.

Maintain a consistent weekly rhythm of shooting and editing output.

What Success Looks Like In the First 30-60 Days

Consistently delivers weekly shoots and edits on schedule.

Produces clean audio, steady visuals, and platform-correct exports (aspect ratios, captions, pacing).

Builds a set of reusable templates for faster editing and consistent brand look

By 90 Days and Beyond

Independently runs shoots, directs subjects, and captures story-supporting b-roll without heavy oversight.

Creates video that

keeps attention -strong hooks, tight edits, clear narrative structure.

Demonstrates platform fluency: tailored versions for Meta/TikTok/YouTube/LinkedIn rather than one-size-fits-all.

Improves creative performance through iteration (new hooks, cuts, pacing styles, format tests).

Becomes a trusted on-site presence: professional, personable, and able to get authentic moments quickly.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience shooting and editing video (portfolio required; client work or strong personal work accepted).

Story-first mindset: understands narrative, emotion, pacing, and why people keep watching.

Comfortable interviewing and directing everyday people on camera.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience with UGC content systems (repeatable series, template libraries, trend adaptation).

Basic motion graphics/graphic text animation (lower thirds, kinetic captions, simple transitions).

Photo capture ability for behind-the-scenes or supporting content.

AI familiarity

(e.g., ideation, scripting support, captions, rough cuts, generative tools) as an accelerator-without sacrificing quality or authenticity.

Tools & Equipment Expectations

Ability to shoot professional-quality footage and audio (camera + stabilization + mic solutions).

Comfortable working with lighting setups as needed (portable key lights, practical lighting improvement).

Must be able to handle file transfers, backups, and asset organization reliably.

Hybrid field/desk role with

weekly shooting requirements

and consistent editing time.
