
Overview
Supply Chain Asset Protection Manager (SCAPM) leads the performance of the unit’s Asset Protection team to ensure building security and shrink reduction efforts in accordance with company policies and procedures, to mitigate shrinkage and ensure safety and security of the associates and facility.
Primary Responsibilities Talent
Leads performance of the Asset Protection team and contracted guard service across up to three shifts with coverage seven days a week.
Creates a professional and cohesive team culture embodying the Associate Value Proposition and JCPenney values through an environment that fosters engagement and positive associate relations.
Supports the talent life cycle by hiring, training, developing, recognizing, and engaging associates.
Collaborates to complete succession plans, cross-training, and activities focused on development.
Listens, responds, and acts upon associate concerns in a timely manner and collaborates with appropriate leaders and partners as needed.
Champions a retention strategy by utilizing Company resources to minimize associate turnover.
Consistently utilizes performance management tools to address job performance and behavioral concerns.
Responsible for the implementation and adherence of Company programs, policies, and employment laws.
Shrink & Investigations
Oversees Asset Protection programs by providing direction and guidance to AP teams and Supply Chain leadership to execute programs and drive enterprise-wide shrink reduction.
Drives shrink reduction through theft elimination, prevention and auditing of operational processes such as reverse logistics, post billing, accuracy audits, inbound/outbound shipments, cycle counts, customs/border control standards, as well as safety audits and performance metrics.
Provides leadership on utilization of the CCTV system to identify threats related to theft, shrinkage, violence, safety, and operational compliance.
Identifies potential acts of theft and fraud through associate and operational observation and analytics. Redirects incorrect behavior/process through coaching, development, and corrective action.
Ensures reports of incidents, accidents, and investigations, and operational processes inefficiencies.
Identifies and leads investigations. Interviews associates suspected of theft or fraud in accordance with Company standards, and properly documents all stages of investigations.
Safe & Secure
Enforces Safety process and procedures, and performs safety inspections, plans, and executes Emergency Action Plans and reviews accident reports to understand root cause and remediation.
Ensures Security inspections of the facility identify any risks.
Ensures CCTV, access control, fire/burglar, and weapons detection systems are functional and maintained.
Performs and utilizes safety and security audits and reviews performance metrics to improve overall safe and secure environment.
Visible within the unit and on the floor to identify opportunities that may deviate from policy and procedure related to shrink, safety, security, coaching and development opportunities and drive performance.
Performance Standards
Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including but not limited to shrinkage, cash loss, safety, AP productivity, KPI metrics, sales & customer service culture, policies and procedures, and profit improvement. Manages budget and expenses.

5+ years Asset Protection or similar experience, supporting investigations and leading teams

Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, case management systems and DMS/YMS
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
