Your role and responsibilities As an External Relations Professional: Analyst Relations, you will convert the value of industry analysts globally into growth for IBM by building life‑long relationships to deliver insight for IBMers, exposure for IBM in the market, and influence of buyers' choice of technology or services decisions to select IBM. You will work with executives, communications, marketing, and sales go‑to‑market teams to inform IBM's strategy, roadmap, go‑to‑market, and narratives to optimize product/market fit.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Develop Analyst Strategy and Plan: Develop the analyst strategy and plan to help IBM execute against our business strategy to make, shape, and reach markets. This involves identifying the right analyst(s), the best mix of interactions, experts, and their content to make a positive contribution to business outcomes.

Orchestrate IBM Engagement: Orchestrate IBM's engagement and participation in the Analyst's research agendas and published reports that matter most to the business. This includes balancing inbound analyst opinion and insight with outbound analyst influence and exposure to hone product/market fit for revenue success.

Build Relationships: Own the relationship with each Analyst and their firms and be accountable for the health and value return of those relationships over their lifetime. This involves providing expertise to identify the right analyst(s) and developing a deep understanding of their opinions and impact.

Measure Success: Use a variety of analytics to understand analysts' opinion and impact of our influence, and measure success through informed decision‑making, contribution to coverage, favorability, and marketing metrics, and progress of products and services to gain leadership position in the market.

Inform IBM Strategy: Work with executives to inform IBM's strategy, roadmap, go‑to‑market, and narratives to optimize product/market fit. This involves providing insight and recommendations to ensure IBM's offerings meet the needs of the market.

Industry Analyst Relationship Management: Experience with managing relationships with industry analysts, including developing and executing strategies to build and maintain strong relationships, identifying key analysts, and creating effective engagement plans.

Market Analysis and Research: Experience in analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business strategy and optimize product/market fit.

Communications and Influencing: Experience with communicating complex ideas and influencing stakeholders, including executives, analysts, and customers, to drive business outcomes.

Data‑Driven Decision Making: Experience with using data and analytics to measure success, track progress, and inform decision‑making, including analyzing analyst opinions and impact.

Business Strategy Development: Experience with informing business strategy, roadmap, and go‑to‑market plans to optimize product/market fit and drive revenue growth.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Advanced Analytics Skills: Experience with using advanced analytics tools and techniques to analyze analyst opinions, track progress, and inform decision‑making. This includes the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to measure success and drive business outcomes.

Market Research Expertise: Experience in conducting market research and analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business strategy and optimize product/market fit. This includes the ability to identify key market insights and develop effective engagement plans.

Strategic Communication: Experience with communicating complex ideas and influencing stakeholders, including executives, analysts, and customers, to drive business outcomes. This includes the ability to craft compelling narratives and develop effective communication strategies to inform and sway analyst opinions.

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro‑rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
