Overview
MHTN Architects is seeking Architectural Associates to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary design studio. This full‑time role is designed for emerging professionals graduating by Spring 2026 who are ready to turn academic exploration into built work.
Project opportunities in this position align with Architectural Experience Program (AXP) goals and support your path toward architectural licensure.
Responsibilities As an Architectural Associate, you will collaborate with architects, interior designers, planners, and landscape architects while contributing your unique perspective to the design process. You will participate in design conversations and pin‑ups, develop layouts and project features, and support commercial project work from concept through documentation. Responsibilities may include creating renderings and physical models, assisting with Revit modeling, and preparing construction documentation under the mentorship of experienced team members.
In this position, you will take ownership of a variety of assignments that translate your academic experience into real‑world architectural solutions. Working closely with your project team and mentor, you will gain hands‑on experience in programming, analysis, planning, and design. A strong interest in socially and environmentally responsible design will support your continued growth and professional development. You will track experience hours toward AXP completion and have access to Architect Registration Examination (ARE) study resources and dedicated champions who support your career growth.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Professional communication skills: ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas and information in team and client settings
Strong visual communication skills: ability to effectively express design intent through drawings, presentations, and written materials
Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines
Highly organized and attentive to detail
Creative and forward thinking
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Accredited architectural bachelor’s or master’s degree by Spring 2026
Well‑curated and graphically refined portfolio reflecting conceptual clarity, technical aptitude, and effective communication
Familiarity with Revit preferred
Proficiency in Lumion or Enscape a plus
This is an hourly, overtime non‑exempt position.
