This role is based in our New York office.

Are you passionate about building strong client relationships and driving revenue growth? The Informa Festivals MarTech portfolio, is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our sales team to sell Insights, Innovation and Marketing related events and digital media. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of growing our brand’s impact—connecting marketing leaders with powerful digital and event solutions that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities Business Development (80%)

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals

Proactively engage prospects through strategic outreach—calls, emails, and meetings

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers

Develop tailored proposals that align with client objectives across events and digital platforms

Manage a portfolio of high‑value accounts with a focus on retention and growth

Stay current on industry trends and share market insights with internal teams

Represent the brand at industry events and conferences, identifying new opportunities

Reporting & Analytics (10%)

Track and manage opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting

Share updates on sales performance and pipeline activity with leadership

Provide insights to optimize offerings and inform future strategy

Work cross‑functionally to ensure seamless execution of client deliverables

Collaborate with marketing, content, and operations teams to enhance client experiences

Stay sharp by participating in sales training and keeping up with MarTech trends

Proven success in B2B sales, ideally in business development or account management, with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth

A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships through strategic networking, personalized communication, and consistent follow‑up

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, ensuring smooth execution of sales initiatives

Clear, persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience presenting to senior‑level stakeholders and decision‑makers

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for creating reports, tracking progress, and delivering impactful presentations

Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed

Experience with Salesforce CRM for lead tracking, pipeline management, and sales forecasting

Familiarity with conferences, trade shows, or events, ideal for building relationships and identifying new business opportunities

Compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on your experience level, with additional commission opportunities.
