
Reporting tothe Associate Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager plays a vital rolewithin HGO’s fast-paced Audiences Department, leading multi-channel advertisingand promotional campaigns that elevate the HGO brand and drive ticket sales,retention, and audience engagement. The role manages paid advertising acrossmultiple channels, direct mail, email marketing, and serves as a key projectmanager to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned withorganizational goals supporting single ticket, subscription, and group sales.

Key Responsibilities
Workwith the Associate Director of Marketing to plan, manage, and executemulti-channel advertising and promotional campaigns in support of subscriptionand single ticket sales, including paid, organic, trade, and barter efforts.
Actas the point of contact for HGO’s paid advertising campaigns, ensuringcampaigns launch accurately and on schedule across digital, print, radio, andtelevision platforms.
Responsiblefor writing clear, compelling marketing copy and perform thorough proofreadingto ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple channels.
Supportaudience segmentation efforts by collaborating with the Marketing Data Managerto compile, update, and maintain database assets for marketing use.
ManageHGO’s direct mail campaigns, including copywriting, list development,coordination of discount and promotional offer requests, and alignment withcampaign messaging.
Createpromotional plans for themed nights, ticketing offers, and unique experience totargeted audiences, including new-to-opera guests and specific ticket holderdemographic.
Coordinatewith the design team to request and develop creative assets needed foradvertising efforts.
Monitorand evaluate campaign performance, measuring ROI, and create and distributeexecutive level reports by repertoire period with successes and growthopportunities based on campaign results.
Overseecampaign budgets, ensuring all expenses are properly allocated and invoices arereconciled accurately and promptly.
Partnerclosely with Communications colleagues to ensure campaign messaging andpromotions are clearly communicated internally, including the development oftalking points for Customer Care and Philanthropy teams.
Performvarious other tasks that may be assigned by the Associate Director ofMarketing, Director of Marketing, or Chief Marketing & Experience Officer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’sdegree in marketing, communications, advertising, or sales with 5+ years ofrelevant experience.
Expertisin copywriting and proofreading is required.
Experiencemanaging advertising campaigns including digital, email, and print is desired.
Experienceworking in a CRM database system (especially Tessitura) is a plus. Experiencein performing arts is a plus.
Mustbe able to work some evenings/weekends.
Special Job Characteristics Ability towork under pressure in a fast-paced environment, high energy and exceptionallystrong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. An eye for detail andquality control is imperative, as well as being able to multi-task andprioritize effectively. A polished approach in presenting sales and campaigninformation, a proactive and collaborative professional manner required.
