Housekeeping and Laundry Director
Lead a Vital Team and Create a Pristine Environment at Pomeroy Living!
Pomeroy Living, a leading senior living community, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Director to lead our environmental services team. You will be instrumental in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. 5k sign on bonus!
Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Management:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations. * Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new housekeeping and laundry staff. * Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed. * Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations. * Manage the department budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment. * Maintain accurate records, including monthly purchase logs and weekly reports.
* Environmental Services & Sanitation:
* Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning and laundry services in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces. * Develop and implement cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. * Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in housekeeping and/or laundry management, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting. * Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. * Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test. * Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including infection control practices. * Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. * Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
