Location: Bronx, NY- Fully onsite
Salary: $200,000-$225,000

We are partnering with a well-established, mid-sized nonprofit organization with a national footprint and more than $4B in assets under management. The organization is comprised of multiple affiliated nonprofit entities aligned under a shared mission focused on community impact through affordable housing, education, and healthcare services, including support for individuals with disabilities and substance use challenges.

The SVP of Finance plays a critical role in shaping capital strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth across a diverse, multi-state real estate portfolio.

As SVP of Finance, you'll operate at the intersection of mission and scale, partnering with executive leadership on complex development financing, portfolio strategy, and enterprise-level financial decisions—while gaining exposure to multiple business lines and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of SVP of Finance:

  • Lead financial structuring for affordable housing developments, including LIHTC, HUD programs, bonds, and gap financing

  • Oversee underwriting, feasibility analysis, and advanced financial modeling

  • Structure and negotiate debt and equity financing with investors, lenders, and public agencies

  • Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and investor requirements
  • Manage all financial reporting aspects of the various Federal/State/City grants
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise financial reporting

  • Prepare executive and board-level financial analysis and reporting

  • Manage external audits and investor reporting


Qualifications of SVP of Finance:

  • 7+ years of experience in affordable housing finance, real estate development finance, nonprofit

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Real Estate

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience

  • Deep expertise in LIHTC, HUD programs, and public-sector financing

  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate financial statements

  • Experience with real estate accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
