**Overview**
The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking a student to assist with journalism, social media, web content management, photography, video production, and other content as needed. The ideal candidate will be a journalism, public relations, marketing, or mass communications major/minor student who has a specialized interest in translating the methods, impacts, and wider applications of scientific research for a wide variety of public audiences to interest, engage, and garner support in the college's mission areas of research, teaching, and outreach, as well as its development initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist staff with social media, website updates, and content development.
+ Assist staff with event promotions, videography, and photography.
+ Conduct, document, and catalog interviews with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
+ Develop content to promote the activities of faculty, alumni, students, and student organizations within print, digital, and social media.
+ Assist faculty and staff with the content development, layout, and editing of digital and print materials, including brochures, advertisements, flyers, signage, and other collateral materials.
+ Assist with the drafting and distribution of press releases and other media announcements as needed.
+ Assist the staff to update and maintain digital advertising within the college.
+ Conduct market research studies and other duties as assigned.
