Personal & Commercial Banking Job Description:

The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison key to delivering TD’s brand promise by providing financial expertise and consultative advice. The role contributes to business growth by identifying suitable TD solutions that help customers achieve financial goals and strengthen their relationship with TD. Depth & Scope

Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate on Bank products and services, and refer customers to appropriate team members or internal partners while ensuring a positive experience. Broad knowledge of the full product suite, services, and processes; tasks involve low to moderate complexity and risk. Establishes and nurtures customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge, actively listening to customer needs, and engaging in further conversation to identify additional needs and offer solutions or referrals. Makes product recommendations based on customer needs, highlights features and benefits that support customers through challenging times and events, and exceeds expectations. Utilizes CRM tools to play a key role in customer assessments, proactively identifying solutions and leading outbound sales activities. Independently resolves customer issues, errors, and problems, escalating when necessary. Builds working relationships with customers and explains detailed or complicated information. Requires full proficiency gained through job‑related training to perform a range of activities. Participates in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver on our unexpectedly human promise. Engages in conversations about loan products and facilitates application intake. Must maintain an active NMLS registration. Education & Experience

HS Diploma or GED. 1+ years of customer or sales experience in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred). Teller experience preferred. Must complete teller training upon hire to take transactions. Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services. Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills, concise and clear. Ability to schedule, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Sound judgment and effective problem‑solving. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Notary License preferred. Customer Accountabilities

Deliver Legendary experience by building relationships and providing service and advice. Support the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy and deliver end‑to‑end advice. Advocate for customers, providing resolution, tips, and insights on saving time and money. Execute appropriate behaviors for an unexpectedly human experience. Lead customer flow, welcome, discover needs, and guide appropriately. Educate customers on self‑service options that meet their needs. Act as escalation point for customer questions or concerns. Perform teller transactions while mitigating fraud and adhering to procedures. Consider impact of decisions on TD, customers, and stakeholders. Act as brand champion internally and externally. Educate clients on digital self‑service channels. Bring genuine self to turn each transaction into a personalized interaction. Shareholder Accountabilities

Ensure compliance with regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act. Participate in daily operations aligned with TD’s risk framework. Apply operational policies and procedures. Support timely and accurate completion of business processes. Escalate high‑risk transactions as needed. Ensure accurate documentation reflecting client intentions. Conduct due diligence supporting transaction accuracy. Comply with Bank Code of Conduct. Contribute to operational excellence goals. Adhere to risk and control policies. Position falls within the definition of Loan Originator under Regulation Z, and Mortgage Loan Originator under SAFE Act. Eligible for employment and registration under these regulations. Must have satisfactory background and credit checks. Physical Requirements
