Position Overview
Stockham Community Church is seeking a Pastor of Discipleship. The role of this position will be to evaluate, shape, and oversee the discipleship process of our congregation, ensuring that individuals and families are equipped to live out our vision of making disciples who gather in worship, scatter to our neighborhoods, and send to the nations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee our discipleship process to ensure alignment with our mission and vision
Equip individuals and families to become disciples who are actively engaged in worship, personal growth, fellowship, and evangelism
Equip and support ministry leaders who are serving in their respective areas
Partner with staff and leaders to create resources, events, and opportunities that strengthen the spiritual life of our church family
Assist the Lead Pastor in offering pastoral care and support to our congregation
Teach and preach as agreed upon with the Lead Pastor
Support and participate in scheduled services and programs, including weddings and funerals
Qualifications
Agreement with Stockham Community Church’s statement of faith
A strong commitment to the authority of the Word of God
Holds a theological degree or is willing to pursue church-supported theological education
Should be licensed, ordained, or in a position to become licensed and/or ordained
Experience in discipleship or a related ministry field
Ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities
The willingness to work with and under our Lead Pastor and our church leadership team
A heart for rural ministry and desire to commit long-term to such a ministry

As a congregation, we have 150+ family units, many of whom are young families, and around 300 in weekly attendance. Located in a rural setting, our church serves as a hub for more than 15 surrounding communities, making our ministry strategically situated.
