Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedSenior Manager, E-Commerce Operations to lead the day-to-day management and strategic development of our e-commerce channels, including Shopify, TikTok Shop, and future marketplace expansions. This role will play a critical part in driving operational excellence, optimizing systems, and ensuring seamless execution across platforms. While TikTok Shop experience is a plus, we are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in e-commerce operations and a passion for exploring emerging channels. Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strategic initiatives, and project plans for e-commerce channels, including Shopify and TikTok Shop, and marketplace channels. Optimize e-commerce operations, including product listings, logistics, messaging flows, and content quality control. Support campaign planning (Mega Sale Days, Brand Days, etc.), affiliate outreach, internal and external content development. Support inventory management and fulfillment operations. Develop and maintain reporting and analytics dashboards. Own ongoing and ad hoc reporting and analytics. Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant on TikTok Shop by proactively staying ahead of TikTokShop updates, beta programs, and new features to test. Lead operational management for future marketplace expansion, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals. Qualifications
3+ years operations experience with TikTok Shop, Shopify or other marketplace platforms Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) Required Proven ability to build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), systems, and scalable processes Analytical mindset with strong comfort in dashboards, spreadsheets, and reporting Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, affiliate ecosystems, and marketplace operations. Strong understanding of analytics and how channel financials impact business outcomes Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills Ability to operate cross-functionally and keep teams aligned Fast execution speed — comfortable making decisions with imperfect information HarperCollins Publishers is a company full of people who are passionate about books.
