Job Description NBC Owned Television Stations, part of the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations division of NBCUniversal, includes 11 local broadcast television stations and a regional cable news channel serving the largest markets in the nation, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas‑Fort Worth, San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Washington, D.C., Miami‑Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and Connecticut. The stations produce and broadcast more than 17,000 hours of local news and information programming and enterprise journalism each year that is important and relevant to the communities they serve, delivering it across multiple online, social media and digital out‑of‑home platforms. The division also operates COZI TV (www.cozitv.com), a national network that brings viewers some of America’s most beloved and iconic television shows and hit movies, as well as the lifestyle production company, LX.TV, and the in‑house marketing and promotions company, Skycastle Entertainment.
The Sales Planner administers strategic sales and marketing campaigns across multiple stations and/or platforms.
Responsibilities
Work with stations and/or platforms to create media proposal
Monitor campaign delivery and re‑cap for clients
Work with cross‑functional teams to manage deadlines & presentation development
Serve as main point of contact for all campaign related issues
Compile and summarize multi‑platform campaign posts for client
Develop customized marketing materials for new sales opportunities
Gather competitive research & advertiser media spending
Work in conjunction with Production teams to create content for clients
Identify and minimize potential problems throughout campaign and find solutions
Coordinate the planning, implementing, and status reporting of all phase of projects
Assist in renewal of campaigns
Qualifications
2 years of Sales Planner, Marketing and/or Project Management Experience
Good knowledge of sports in general including the Olympics
Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Must have strong desire for Sales as a career path
Desired Characteristics
Extremely strong writing and deck creation skills
Previous professional experience in television production, ad sales or marketing
Exceptional communication, project management and presentation skills.
Superior organizational skills - must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Creative and strategic planner with clear ideation and execution abilities
Familiarity with WideOrbit or comparable order management systems preferred
Working knowledge of Nielsen audience measurement and impression‑based planning

Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
