Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an ambitious writer for the position of Proposal Writer to join our team! This position will require a keen attention to detail, collaborative writing, and interfacing with Subject Matter Experts about technical and engineering content. What will you be doing?
Technical writing and editing
An understanding of the Government services (DoD) proposal process
Research, collect, and organize content for proposals
Write and build proposals, such as Technical, Management, Past Performance, and Resumes
Format proposals in MS-Word
Assist with past proposal library building and maintenance
Attend and participate in strategic proposal meetings
Work closely with the proposal team, and interface with technical program managers, contracts, and the executive staff
Use an automated proposal development system
Perform Compliance Checks
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
Bachelor’s Degree (Writing or English preferred)
6+ years of writing experience
Must submit writing sample
Expert-level usage of Microsoft Word and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
Ability to quickly learn to use new software
Strong skills in communication and teamwork
Ability to switch between tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
